The Ambiguous Identity

Through experimental artistic practices, I explore the ambiguity of female identity and challenge the association of women with household chores. By printing objects on sticky notes and pasting them on models’ heads, I evoke the subjective ambiguity of women facing objectification. Choosing sticky notes as a medium allows for the redefinition of fundamental concepts and the graphical representation of female stereotypes. The dual-sided nature of the sticky notes promotes dialogue around the imagery, symbolizing the interaction between reality and fiction. This prompts viewers to confront their inherent perceptions of the world and challenges them to reconsider the objectified portrayal of women. Through my work, I express the breaking of entrenched ideologies, sparking critical reflections on societal constructs.
