In his 76,000-word book, the American psychologist Barry Schwartz introduces this concept”paradox of choice” – a widespread phenomenon that hinders a person from achieving happiness. This short film attempts to treat this universal experience of having too much choice – to the point you doubt your decision in fear of choosing the wrong one or not the better one – in a more comedic and light- hearted manner, where the viewer can say “Hey, I’ve been there!”. Our film, It Could Be Better is an episodic film presenting three separate scenarios: a failed movie night, consumer culture, and a tinder date gone wrong. Each episode illustrates characters feeling overwhelmed to the point of paralysis.
