Public

This project explores the personal and societal aspects of queerness, focusing on the struggle to express one’s true self in public versus private spaces. It considers how private domains often become safe havens for unveiling true identities, shielded from external judgment. The narrative also contemplates nudity in natural settings as a form of self-expression, examining motives from personal freedom to fetishization. By doing so, it captures the queer experience’s breadth, highlighting the conflict between personal desires and social norms. This examination is a statement on the quest for acceptance and the right to live openly, reflecting on society’s impact on spaces where self-expression thrives or remains concealed. It honours the bravery of those on this journey, and critiques societal constructs around identity expression.
