An Otter’s encounter: 

Through digital animation I wanted to explore how human intervention with wildlife can have both a negative and positive affect. An Otter’s encounter leads its audience through the day of a simple English river otter as his home can be seen to be slowly more and more affected by littering and then the otter itself is caught in the tide. I wanted this piece to reflect how, as humans we have a tidal like effect on the world that surrounds us, in the sense that although what we believe to be insignificant can have a longer lasting effect. Although this entire piece was created on after effects I used hand painted textures to add underneath each shape to create a sense of nature.
