Rosie takes care of people who have a dangerous infection. So dangerous in fact it led to agovernment policy that allows human testing in droves just to find a cure. Rosie who had lost her husband to one of these trials lives in fear she might also get chosen and leave her son an orphan in this desperate world. She keeps her head down and earns enough money to keep their tiny home but it’s no use. She gets the dreaded brown enve- lope and is conscripted for medical tests. Although she tries to escape it’s too late and she is forced to go through physical and mental turmoil in order to get back to her son.
