She Belongs To The Sun

She Belongs To The Sun is an adventure inspired by the barely known fairy tales and folk tales of The Philippines.

This 30 minute script follows the life of Darlina, a twelve year old girl who dreams of being a singer and to leave her small island, Simara. Though, when Darlina meets a much older man, who claims he can make her dreams a reality (just as long as she marries him), she furiously denies.

The next morning, when Darlina wakes up to find that her Lola (Grand- mother) has gone missing, she goes looking for her and stumbles upon an enchanted forest, where she meets all the mythical creatures she’s heard about in her bedtime stories during her childhood, which is where the story truly begins.

Rooftop Ramblings follows the life of a woman who watches the world from her rooftop. As she observes the people around her and assigns poems and stories to each of them, she touches upon the loveliness that comes with life and love.
