Women of Lewisham is a children’s book designed to encourage young readers to consider the historical residents who made a difference in their community. Most of the women included this book have played important roles in the wellbeing of others, the liberation of themselves, and the recognition of their borough... yet they have been forgotten by history.

Women of Lewisham is designed to remember them. Illustrated using real photographs of the women, and written with carefully researched facts, this book was created on International Women’s Day 2018.

Women of Lewisham is a draft for a larger book that will highlight the importance of remembrance and gratitude for the female role models in our borough, and the many other boroughs of London. Designed carefully with the generation who will shape the future of equality in mind.
